Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The room on the quiet side was great, but it was a bit noisy due to its location above the pump room. However, it was definitely worth the money.
I stayed at Ibis Styles Canberra, and overall, it was a great experience with a few drawbacks. The rooms, though not spacious, were adequate, but they looked old, run down, and slightly unclean. The service, especially at the reception and during breakfast, was excellent, but there were some minor service areas that needed improvement. The location was convenient, within 5 Km of both the Canberra hospital and downtown city, but property maintenance seemed lacking. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with delicious food but a lack of capacity to accommodate all guests. On the positive side, the homemade biscuits were a nice touch.
The hotel is basic but okay, with some noise issues and smells easily traveling between rooms. It's located in a noisy environment with drinkers and children running in the hallway. However, the staff are friendly and nice enough to address room concerns. Service is efficient though there might be some understaffing. The location suits certain needs but might be dark and not worth the high price. Dining can be chaotic with no system sometimes.
The hotel fell short of expectations with stained and ripped carpets, filthy walls, and curtains, along with noisy pipes. Despite claiming to be soundproof, the reality was disappointing. On the upside, the location was close to Manuka Oval in a quiet area.
The family room I stayed in was small and uncomfortable, not resembling the photos on the website at all. However, it was clean and comfortable, with a great shower. The service was a bit overwhelmed with various tasks but friendly overall. The location suited our needs perfectly, being quiet and easy to navigate. The dining experience was the standout of my stay, with a delicious continental spread. Overall, there were some drawbacks, but I still enjoyed aspects of my stay.
The hotel is conveniently located for a stopover on the way to the snowfields, offering easy access to family events. The rooms are in need of maintenance, but the staff is accommodating and helpful. The location has some drawbacks like lacking fresh air access, yet it offers a side entrance for convenience. The dining experience provides a varied cooked breakfast buffet but is not complimentary. The facilities could use a little TLC but deliver essential services.
Be prepared for a mixed experience at this hotel. The room was in need of a full renovation and suffered from noise disturbances throughout the night. However, the location was convenient and the service was accommodating, though some requests were not promptly addressed.
The hotel was a good value for us all, although nothing like the website as expected. The rooms were very dark, and the bed was hard, but we found them to be suitable for our stay. The service from the staff on reception duty was helpful, although they seemed a bit overworked. The location was good overall, but a tad bit expensive for what you get. The dining experience offered a good selection, but the space was small for the number of guests. The hotel had some facilities, although there were too many people in a small area.
The motel rooms were a mix of experiences, from spacious and clean to another that had a strange smell and was a bit dated. The service was helpful and accommodating, with staff responding promptly to issues. The location was convenient, though cleanliness was lacking in some areas. The dining had its ups and downs, with varying quality of food. Overall, a decent stay with some room for improvement.
